Daryl Black Eagle Jamieson moved from Riverside to Woonsocket RI in 1988. Since migrating to Woonsocket over 20 years ago he has faced challenges of survival while also accomplishing to create his own music business: “Black Eagle Productions LLC” where he is a Digital Media Specialist (in film & audio). Alongside promoting shows & events (primarily music), Daryl works to bring his Native American Indian Pocasset Tribe culture and folk arts to the city. Donating time to assist in local events from time to time and running “Black Eagle Productions” annual Powwow. It is through “Black Eagle Productions” that Daryl has been able to directly impact and enrich Woonsocket’s education and culture.
Since moving to Woonsocket, he has missed the quietness of the country and in inspiration of that Daryl has made his own cultural world here in the city. In addition to being a business owner Daryl is also a retired RI State Constable and hopes to see changes in Woonsocket’s park restrictions and regulations, as well as more pop up open markets in the city.
